1. Product Overview
This product is a two‑component addition‑cured liquid silicone rubber (Component A/B) adopting a platinum‑catalyzed system. It cures into soft elastomers at room temperature or under heating. Specially developed for shoe insoles, shoe‑material cushion pads, heel pads and other foot‑care products, it features excellent softness, resilience and biocompatibility, and is safe for direct skin contact
3. Product Features
• Ultra‑soft comfort: Hardness as low as 5 Shore A. Soft touch fits foot contours and effectively relieves plantar pressure.
• High‑resilience shock absorption: Outstanding resilience and cushioning performance absorb walking impact and protect joints.
• Good biocompatibility: Non‑toxic, odorless and non‑irritating. Safe for direct skin contact and meets food‑grade / medical‑grade safety requirements.
• Excellent weather resistance: Resistant to ozone, ultraviolet rays and aging. No yellowing or hardening over long‑term service.
• Low shrinkage rate: Curing linear shrinkage ≤0.1 %, ensuring high dimensional accuracy for precision mold forming.
• Convenient processing: 1:1 mixing ratio. Curing is feasible at room temperature or with heating, compatible with various production processes.
• Good air permeability: Micro‑pore structure forms after vulcanization to keep feet dry and comfortable.
4. Application Scope
• Full‑foot silicone insoles, half‑size insoles, three‑quarter insoles
• Heel pads, forefoot pads, arch‑support pads
• Medical orthotic insoles, diabetic foot care pads
• Sports shoe cushion pads, pain‑relief pads for high‑heeled shoes
• Silicone shoe‑material accessories and inner‑shoe cushion components
5. Application Instructions
5.1 Pre‑operation Preparation
1. Stir Components two part liquid silicone rubber A and B respectively before use to guarantee uniform filler dispersion.
2. Clean the mold surface and apply a release agent (a release agent specifically designed for silicone rubber is recommended).
3. Keep operating environment at 20‑30 ℃ with relative humidity ≤70 %.
5.2 Mixing and Degassing
1. Weigh Component A and Component B accurately at 1:1 weight ratio.
2.Mix at low speed for 3–5 minutes to ensure a uniform blend while avoiding the incorporation of excessive air bubbles.
3. Vacuum degassing: Degas for 3‑5 minutes under ‑0.095 MPa until no obvious bubbles escape from the liquid surface.
5.3 Pouring and Curing
1. Pour degassed liquid silicone rubber slowly along mold walls to avoid introducing new bubbles.
2. Room‑temperature curing: Demolding is available after 4‑6 hours at 25 ℃; optimal properties are achieved after 24 hours.
3. Heat curing: Demolding is available after 10‑15 minutes at 120 ℃ for higher production efficiency.
4. After demolding, leave silicone products at room temperature for 24 hours prior to performance testing or practical use.
6. Precautions
The liquid silicone rubber is sensitive to the following substances, which may cause incomplete or failed curing:
• Heavy‑metal compounds containing tin, lead, mercury, etc.
• Organic compounds containing nitrogen, sulfur and phosphorus
• Unsaturated plasticizers and certain epoxy resins
• Acidic substances (organic acids, acidic fillers, etc.)
Ensure molds, tools and containers are clean before use. Do not share tooling with condensation‑cured silicone rubber.
• Seal Component A and B tightly after opening to prevent moisture absorption and impurity contamination.
• Use mixed compound within pot life to avoid gelation and material waste.
• Adjust curing rate by changing ambient temperature or adding dedicated inhibitors / accelerators.
• Custom hardness, viscosity, color and special functions (e.g. antibacterial, anti‑slip) are available upon customer request.
7. Packaging and Storage
Packaging Specifications Component A: 5 kg/drum, 20 kg/drum, 200 kg/drum Component B: 5 kg/drum, 20 kg/drum, 200 kg/drum
Storage Conditions Store hermetically in cool, dry and ventilated locations at 5‑30 ℃. Keep away from direct sunlight and high‑temperature sources.
Shelf Life 12 months from production date for unopened original packages.
Transport Requirements Non‑hazardous goods. Transport as general chemicals. Avoid rain, sunlight and package damage.
8. Safety & Environmental Protection
• Avoid prolonged skin and eye contact with uncured material. Rinse thoroughly with clean water in case of accidental contact.
• Fully cured products are non‑toxic, odorless and harmless to human body, safe for skin contact.
• Dispose of waste rubber and packaging in compliance with local environmental regulations.
• Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for detailed safety information.
